Patient Positioning

Patient in upright or supine position.
Rotate the body 35° to 45° towards the affected side.
Ensure the scapula is parallel to the IR.
Abduct the arm slightly in neutral rotation.

Central Ray

Glenohumeral Joint

Perpendicular to the IR, directed to the center of the joint (2 inches medial and inferior to the superolateral border of the shoulder).
